A Pay As You Go Data Only SIM is for getting tablets, laptops, and other mobile broadband devices online, when you’re on the move and can’t access Wi-Fi. 

Your Data Only SIM will activate the moment you add it to your device and it connects to our network.

However, we recommend putting it into a mobile phone first, so we can text you your SIM’s mobile number. You’ll need the mobile number to register for My3 or to use the Three app. You can use these to keep track of your data usage, and to top up your data when you need to. You’ll also need your SIM’s mobile number to sign up to our Three+ rewards app.

You can only use 1 Data Only Pack at a time. If your current pack is still active, you'll need to wait for it to expire before you can get a new one. Alternatively, you can buy a Data Add-on using My3 or via the Three app.

No. When you get a Pay As You Go Data Only SIM card on Three, there’s no commitment. Our Data Only Packs last a set amount of time depending on which SIM deal you choose. There’s no commitment to buy another one if you don’t want to.

Yes. To access our Three+ app, you’ll need to enter the number of your Data Only SIM. You’ll be able to get this by putting your SIM into any device that allows you to view your mobile number or receive an SMS message.

You can track your data usage by using the Three app, logging into My3, or by calling 444 from a compatible device. 

To register for My3 or on the Three app, you’ll need to enter the mobile number of your Data Only SIM. You’ll be able to find this by putting your SIM into any device that allows you to view your mobile number or receive an SMS message.

No. These SIMs only include a data allowance. For any calls or texts, you would need to add credit to your account. Any calls you make or texts you send will be charged at our standard rates. If you require calls and texts alongside your data, we recommend checking out our standard Pay As You Go Data Packs, which include unlimited calls and texts.

Yes – if you’ve activated your Data Only SIM in the UK, you can use your allowance in any of our Go Roam destinations, at no extra cost, up to your monthly fair use limit. You can enjoy up to 12GB of data per month, depending on which Data Only Pack you’ve chosen. But make sure you activate your SIM in the UK before you travel.

Yes. Your data will be valid for the duration of the Data Only Pack you’ve chosen. If you don’t use your SIM for 18 months after that, your SIM will be deactivated.
